Born in Middleboro, the son of the late Edwin S. and Annie M. (Halpin) Southworth, Everett was a graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School, Class of 1951. He was a 1st Class Stationary Engineer at Montaup Electric Co. for 40 years, retiring in 1995.
Everett was a 32nd degree Mason at the Mt. Hope Lodge and was a former member of the Montaup Retirees, Scottish Rite, Old Colony Consistory, Fall River Lions Club and the Fall River Chamber Commodores. He was a Red Cross First Aid Instructor, a water safety spotter, a registered Girl Scout Leader and often provided transportation and care for the elderly.
Everett is survived by three daughters, Marlene Medeiros and her husband James, Peggy Ann Fales and her husband Donald, all of Bristol and Susan Southworth of Panama City, FL; four grandchildren, Mark Medeiros, Mary McKinney, and Sarah and Michael Kochanski; two great-granddaughters as well as many nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Cynthia Kindell.
His Funeral will be held on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at 9:00 AM from the Waring-Sullivan Home at Cherry Place, 178 Winter St., Fall River, followed by a Service at 10:00 AM in the United Methodist Church, 600 Highland Ave., Fall River.
