Antonio L. Pinheiro, age 97, of Fall River and formerly of Tiverton, passed away Sunday, June 9, 2019 at Crawford Nursing Home. He was the husband of the late Margarida (Neves) Pinheiro.
Born in Serpins, Portugal, a son of the late Joao and Albertina (Santos) Pinheiro, he immigrated to the United States in 1960.
Mr. Pinheiro was a machine operator at the former Slatter Paper Box Company for many years before retiring. He enjoyed gardening.
He is survived by two sons, Antonio “Tony” Pinheiro of Fall River and Carlos Pinheiro and his wife Maria of Fall River; daughter-in-law, Maria Pinheiro of Fall River; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was the father of the late George Pinheiro and brother of the late Basilo and Maria Pinheiro.
His funeral will be held Thursday, June 13, 2019 at 10:00 AM in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Cherry Place, 178 Winter St., Fall River. Visiting hours Wednesday 4:00 to 7:00 PM. Burial in Oak Grove Cemetery, Fall River.
