

Anthony Imbriglio, “Tony,” age 86, of Fall River, died Friday April 10, 2015 in Charlton Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Claire (Correira) Imbriglio to who he has been married for the past 64 years.
Born in Fall River, a son of the late Anthony and Jennie (Sisca) Imbriglio, he had been a lifelong resident of the city.
A graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School, class of 1946, he was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps serving during World War II and the Korean War as Staff Sergeant.
He worked as an employee relations manager at Fall River Electric Light and Eastern Edison before retiring in 1990 and volunteered at St. Anne’s Hospital. He was a former communicant of Holy Rosary Church where he was a collector and usher and most recently was a communicant of Holy Name Church.
Active in the community, he was a member of the Exchange Club, the Citizen Scholarship Foundation, the United Way, the Chamber of Commerce, the Personnel Council of Fall River, the Industrial Commission of Fall River, the Italian American War Veterans Post 10, the Columbus Day Committee, the Jingle Bell Walk Committee, the Red Cross, the March of Dimes, the Easter Seals, and the Interfaith Council.
He was one of the founders of Columbus Park Little League where he was an organizer and manager. Mr. Imbriglio was a recipient of the Marian Medal which was awarded by the former Bishop Sean P. O’Malley.
In addition to his wife he is survived by three daughters: Joann Imbriglio of Fall River, Paula Potvin and her husband George of Windham, NH, Susan Fauvel and her fiancé Bob Rutledge of Pelham, NH, and one granddaughter: Ashley Catherine Potvin and her fiancé Nick Tucarella. He was father-in-law of the late Bob Fauvel and friend of the late Ernest Bunker.
His Funeral will be held on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at 9:00AM from the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE at CHERRY PLACE, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00AM in Holy Name Church, 709 Hanover St., Fall River. Visiting hours Sunday, April 12, 2015 from 2:00 to 5:00PM. Burial in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Fall River.
