Anne L. Marcucci

Anne L. (Harnett) Marcucci of Tiverton, Rhode Island died on September 12, 2023. She was the wife of the late Joseph R. Marcucci. She was also the sister of the late Thomas E. Harnett and William Harnett.

Born in Fall River, Massachusetts, daughter of the late Thomas and Catherine (Barry) Harnett. She had resided in Tiverton since 1959. She was a graduate of Saints Peter and Paul grammar school and was a member of the 1947 graduating class from the Dominican Academy. She graduated from the Union Hospital School of Nursing in 1950, worked there in several areas, and was a Registered Nurse at Charlton Memorial Hospital, retiring in 1993. At Charlton she worked in the Emergency Department and ended her career in the Surgical Center. Anne was a member of Union Hospital Alumnae Association and Charlton Memorial Retirees.

She is survived by four sons, Thomas R. and wife Jeanne of Allyn, Washington, Joseph and wife Lisa of Tiverton, Rhode Island, Michael J. and wife Maureen of Boston, MA, and John E. and wife Stacy of Kennard, Nebraska; twelve grandchildren; great-grandsons; nieces and nephews. Her grandchildren include Nicholas Marcucci, Patrick Marcucci, Meghan Marcucci, Joseph Marcucci, Anthony Marcucci, William Marcucci, Katherine Marcucci, John Edward Marcucci, Emily Marcucci, Lucas Marcucci, Ben Adams, and Josh Adams.

She was a devoted mother and grandmother who travelled frequently to visit her family. She was an avid Red Sox fan, a pianist and vocalist.

The family would like to thank the caring and professional staff at Dawn Hill Home and Silver Creek Manor in Bristol, RI as well as the Hospice staff at the Visiting Nurses Association.

Her Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at 10:00 AM in St. Theresa’s Church, 265 Stafford Rd in Tiverton, RI. Relatives and friends are invited. Burial will follow at Newport Memorial Park, 123 Howland Avenue, Middletown, RI. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to support Disabled American Veterans at www.DAV.org
