Born in New York City, a daughter of the late Stephen and Tessie Maikicsh, she was a Swansea resident since 1962, retiring in Brandon, Florida in 1995, returning to the area in 2007. Mrs. Tappen was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family.
Surviving: 2 daughters: Lynda L. Levesque and Mary Ann Ferreira both of Fall River, 3 sons: Michael and Robert Tappen both of Florida and Stanley Tappen of Virginia, 1 sister: Helen Amigo of North Carolina and 1 brother Frank Maikicsh, 12 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was sister of the late Stephen Maikicsh.
