Adeline M. Adams

Born in North Tiverton, a daughter of the late John C. and Mary (Braga) Medeiros, she attended school in Portsmouth, RI and was a communicant of Holy Trinity Church. She was employed at Lee County Nursing Home, NC and Nelson Nursing Home, Newport as a nursing aid, retiring in 1996.

Adeline loved and enjoyed her family, adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, she was the former president of the Dolan Apartment Association, and sung in the Somerset chorus and Sweet Aunts.

She is survived by two sons, John F. Alvarnas and his wife Kim of NC and John T. Adams and his wife Cindy of CA; a sister Isabelle Barreto of Fall River; many, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Patricia Cook and sister of the late Alice Piche, Lena Alvarnas, Mary Farias, Lucy Medeiros, John, Kasimro and Manuel Medeiros.

A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 11:00AM in Holy Trinity Church, 951 Stafford Road, Fall River. Relatives and friends are invited. Burial is Private. Arrangements are in the care of WARING-SULLIVAN HOME at CHERRY PLACE, 178 Winter Street, Fall River, MA 02720.
