Abel Aguiar Teves

Born in Santa Barbara - Ponta Delgada, Sao Miguel, Acores, a son of the late Armano Teves and Maria de Jesus Aguiar, he immigrated to the United States in 1978 settling in Fall River.

He served in the Portuguese Army and worked in the textile industry for many years. An avid gardener, he enjoyed traveling, camping, cooking, and fishing. He was a huge soccer fan and loved team Porto. His best times spent were with his family and his Pomeranian “Blackie.”

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter: Kelly Teves, one son: Edward Teves both of Fall River, eight siblings: Maria dos Anjos Lima, Hermano, Joao Ambrosio and Marcolino Teves all of Sao Miguel, Acores, Eugenia Albernaz, Octavia Carvalho, Fatima Teves and Jose Teves, all of Fall River and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Maria do Espirito Santo.

His Funeral will be held on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at 9:30 AM at Waring-Sullivan Home of Memorial Tribute at Cherry Place, 178 Winter St., Fall River, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM in St Michael’s Church, 189 Essex St., Fall River.
