Vilma Gutierrez entered into eternal rest on Sunday, May 22, 2022 at a hospital in Corpus Christi, Texas at the age of 65. She was born on April 12, 1957 to Amando Gutierrez and Emma Garcia Gutierrez in Pharr, Texas. For the past 28 years, Vilma was a dedicated employee at the First National Bank in Falfurrias where she worked as a Secretary.
In her younger years, she also worked for many years at the Falfurrias Creamery and with SWZ Services. She lived a simple life and was a caretaker for many of her family members. There was not a day that you would catch Vilma not wearing her high heels.
She was reunited in Heaven with her parents; brothers, Jose Angel Gutierrez and Mario Amando Gutierrez; sister, Rosalinda Gutierrez and brother-in-law, Eugenio Rodriguez.
She is survived by her sister, Corina H. Rodriguez of Falfurrias; brother, Robert Gutierrez of San Antonio, Texas; three nephews, Michael Andrew Gutierrez, Bryan Gutierrez and Eugenio Rodriguez, IV; three nieces, Victoria Gutierrez, Miranda Gutierrez and Vanessa Rodriguez; five great-nieces and nephews with one on the way and numerous extended family members, coworkers and friends.
Funeral Service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 26, 2022 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Falfurrias with Visitation beginning at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at the Falfurrias Burial Park.
