Sevedeo V. Martinez Jr.

Sevedeo V. Martinez, Jr. passed away on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at a nursing home in Victoria, Texas at the age of 74. Sevedeo was born August 20, 1944 to Sevedeo Martinez and Zulema Villarreal Martinez in Falfurrias, Texas. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He then went on to work with the U.S. Postal Service as a Budgeting Cost and Station Manager until his retirement.

Sevedeo was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Adela Martinez.

He is survived by two sons, Luis (Rachel) Martinez of Goliad, Texas and Marcos (Wendi) Martinez of New Braunfels, Texas; four grandchildren, Mateo, Elena, Madison and Molli; brother, Eliezer (Susana) Martinez of Falfurrias; three sisters, Yolanda (Fidencio) Rodriguez of College Station, Texas, Aida (Daniel) Mora of Alice, Texas and Diana (Isauro) Trevino of Falfurrias and numerous extended family members.

Rosary being prayed at 7:00 p.m. at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams on Friday, November 16, 2018 with Visitation beginning at 5:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Falfurrias. Burial will follow at the Falfurrias Burial Park with Military Honors.
