Sarah Trad Dicken

Sarah Trad Dicken, 90, passed away Sunday, February 12, 2012 at a nursing home in Falfurrias, Texas. She was born on July 8, 1921 to Antonius Trad and Hanna Karam Trad in Falfurrias, Texas. She was raised in Falfurrias with her eight siblings. Sarah attended colleges in Houston, Texas and San Antonio, Texas and was a retired federal employee. She was a lifetime member of the Sacred Heart Church in Falfurrias as well as a member and past president of the St. Anne’s Altar Society. She also served on the Finance Committee and the Parish Council. Sarah had no children of her own but she gave all her love and attention to all member of her immediate family at all times especially during special occasions. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Arless W. Dicken; four brothers and four sisters. She is survived by her stepson, Robert L. Dicken of Plano, Texas; two sisters-in-law, Beatriz Trad and Adela K. Trad both of Falfurrias, Texas; several nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and nephews.

Rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, February 17, 2012 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Falfurrias with visitation beginning at 3:00 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 on Saturday, February 18, 2012 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Falfurrias.

Burial will follow at the Falfurrias Burial Park.
