Ruben Hernandez

Mr. Hernandez was born on May 28, 1934 to Jose Hernandez and Dora Garza Hernandez in Falfurrias, Texas. He worked as a cement finisher for many companies, and later retired from the City of Premont after working for many years. Mr. Hernandez was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Matilde Hernandez; grandsons, Rene Omar A. Richards and Jason Andrew Manson; sister, Maria Pena; brothers, Jose Hernandez and Jesus Hernandez.

He is survived by his son, Jose Antonio (Melba) Hernandez of Edinburg, TX; daughters, Dora Anita (Buck) Shedd of Woodsboro, TX, and Sylvia (Robert) Richards of San Antonio, TX; brother, Aristeo (Berta) Hernandez of Premont, TX; 6 grandchildren, Jay (Jessica) Manson, Jesse (Ada) Manson, Jason (Dalila) Hernandez, Amanda Jo Richards, Benjamin Anthony Richards, Braxton Travis Manson; 9 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, October 18, 2012 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard-Williams in Falfurrias.

Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 19, 2012 at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church in Premont; with burial following at the Premont Cemetery.
