Roberto Lara entered into eternal rest on Saturday, November 2, 2024 at a hospital in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 56, after a long battle on the road to recovery from a tragic car accident. In his last selfless act, Robert was able to give the gift of life to others through organ donation, as he always mentioned he wanted to do.
He was born on July 1, 1968 to Ascencion Lara and Sulema Mireles Lara in Falfurrias, Texas. Robert worked as a Ranch Hand for five years with the Cage Ranch, five years with the Mariposa Ranch, and was currently employed with the Empire Ranch for the last two years. Robert was also a talented woodworker. He had a passion for crafting and working with animals, especially deer antler projects.
Robert was always the life of the party, known for making everyone laugh with his jokes and flashing his contagious smile. If you were around Robert, you knew you were going to have a good time and enjoy many laughs. He was a good friend to many, always willing to help in anyway he could. He continuously pushed people to be the best version of themselves and constantly asked how you were doing and if everything was okay.
If you knew Robert, you knew that you could always find him listening to music, singing along and even moving to the beat. He was a very smooth dancer and loved to dance any chance he would get. He also enjoyed spending some of his off-time visiting different game rooms to play on the gambling machines and watching the Dallas Cowboys football games.
Robert was reunited in Heaven with his parents and his parents-in-law, Hector and Olga Cantu.
He leaves behind to reminisce on the many memories that were made, his wife, Olga Lee Cantu Lara of Falfurrias; daughter, Leticia S.
