Ray H. Moore

Ray Herbert Moore, 78 was welcomed into the gates of Heaven on October 8, 2014 at his residence. He was born on April 9, 1936 to Frank H. Moore and Gable F. Sipes Moore of Catron, NM. He grew up in New Mexico. In his early twenties he followed the oilfield to South Texas where he met the love of his life. He had a passion for the outdoors and enjoyed spending time with children which led him to be a Boy Scout Leader for many years. He was known for being a father figure to so many and left his mark on each individual he conversed with, as he so loved to do. After 25years of employment from JHCISD as a custodian and security guard he retired giving him precious time with his family. He was a devoted husband, and a loving father and grandfather. He filled our hearts with joyous memories and much laughter. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers Glen Moore and Marvin Mobley, and sister Nora Moore. Ray leaves behind to cherish his memories his wife Delia R. Moore; son Stewart (Rosa) Moore; daughters Dalia (Javier) Ruiz and Cindy (Marco) Avila all of Hebbronville; sisters Maxine M. Bamesberger of Washington, Dina M. Hill of Denison, Annie Moore of California and Lavern Moore of Georgia; grandchildren Javier Ruiz Jr. Agusta Avila, Selina Ruiz, Samantha Ruiz, Marco Avila II, Jimmy Ruiz, Manuel F. Avila, Angelica Moore, Marcel Avila, and Dariella Moore.

Pallbearers will be Jason Alaniz, Javier Ruiz Jr., Jimmy Ruiz, Javier Ruiz, Marco Avila II, Manuel F. Avila, Marcel Avila, and Marco Avila

Holy Rosary will be prayed at 7:00p.m. on Friday, October 10, 2014 at Funeraria Del Angel Howard-Williams, Hebbronville

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 11, 2014 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.

Burial will follow at the New Hebbronville Cemetery.
