Rafael "June" Montalvo Jr.

Rafael “June” Montalvo, Jr. entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at a hospital in Corpus Christi, Texas at the age of 58. He was born on July 22, 1965 to Rafael Montalvo, Sr. and Rosa Guerra Montalvo in Falfurrias, Texas. June worked for many years as a self-employed mechanic as well as performed odd jobs from time to time. He was a hard worker and talented mechanic.

Rafael was reunited in Heaven with his stepfather, Israel Vela and his stepdaughter, Cynthia Garcia.

He is survived by his father, Rafael Montalvo, Sr.; mother, Rosa G. Vela; common-law wife, Angelica Castillo all of Falfurrias; four sons, Danny (June) Montalvo of Rockport, Texas, Ralph Montalvo, III of Falfurrias, Texas, Mark (Nadya Pulido) Montalvo of Premont, Texas and Michael Montalvo of Falfurrias; five daughters, Isabel Montalvo and Monica Montalvo both of Tennessee, Victoria Montalvo of Corpus Christi, Ashley (Noe Pena) Montalvo of Beeville, Texas and Vanessa Montalvo of Laredo, Texas; stepdaughter, Pricilla (Eliberto, Jr.) Guerra of Falfurrias; stepson, Juan (Esmeralda Soliz) Garcia of Falfurrias; brothers, Mario Montalvo, Roel (Maria Garza) Montalvo and Jason Guerra all of Falfurrias; sister, Cristina Montalvo of Falfurrias; 18+ grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members and friends.

Rosary will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 14, 2023 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Falfurrias with Visitation beginning at 5:00 p.m.
