Pedro Z. Garza, Jr. entered into eternal rest on Monday, October 4, 2021 at a hospital in Kingsville, Texas at the age of 85. He was born on July 10, 1936 to Pedro Z. Garza, Sr. and Maria de Jesus Zamora Garza in Falfurrias, Texas. Pedro was a Veteran of the United States Army. He served and protected his community for many years as a Brooks County Sheriff's Deputy as well as a Falfurrias City Police Officer. He was a Rancher almost his entire life and worked for several years at the Mariposa Ranch. He was a hard worker who was always thinking ahead. Each day he made sure there was something new for his family to do. He married the love of his life, Juanita Susana Carrales on October 4, 1960 and was reunited with her in Heaven on what would have been their 61st wedding anniversary.
Pedro was welcomed into the gates of Heaven by his parents; his wife, Juanita Susana Carrales Garza; brother, Alonzo Zamora and his sisters, Rebecca Perez and Florence Powell.
He leaves behind his son, Pedro Garza, III of Falfurrias; two daughters, Thelma C. Garza and Norma Garza both of Falfurrias; brother, Paul (Lucy) Garza of Falfurrias; six grandchildren, Maria Susana Ramirez Ochoa, Pedro Garza, IV, Mateo Garza, Tres Garza, Genesis L. Garza and Kathryn Garza; seven great-grandchildren, Dallas P. Ochoa, Memphis A. Ochoa, Alejandro Garza, Santiago Garza, Cinco Garza, Ava Garza and Juan Camilo Garza and numerous nieces and nephews.
Rosary will be prayed at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, October 8, 2021 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Falfurrias with Visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Services will conclude with the Funeral Mass at 1:00 p.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Falfurrias.
