Paula Joyce Maupin entered into eternal rest on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at her residence in Falfurrias, Texas at the age of 69. She was born on June 26, 1953 to Clara Lois Wright and Samuel Ed Wilkinson in Falfurrias, Texas. Paula was an educator for over 43 years and shared her love and generosity with thousands of students whom she considered as children of her own.
Upon retirement, Paula and her twin sister, Middy fulfilled their lifelong dream of owning and operating Twin Treasures. Twin Treasures was an avenue to share their creativity; a way to share their love for arts and crafts and at the same time give back to the community. Putting a smile on the face of the giver and receiver was more than money could ever buy and something the twins cherished. God blessed Paula with talented hands and a giving heart, which made each personalized item one of a kind and made from love.
Paula has a contagious smile and she touched so many lives. She considered her coworkers, friends and ex-students as family and generously gave all she could, from donations of many kinds to caring advice and guidance.
Paula was reunited in Heaven with her parents; son, Joshua Wilkinson Maupin; brother, William “Billy” Edwin Wilkinson and sisters, Laura Wilkinson Howell and Mildred “Middy” Wilkinson.
Paula leaves behind to cherish her memories her husband, James T. Maupin, III of Falfurrias; sons, James Taylor (Shea) Maupin of McAllen, Texas and Billy Ed Maupin of Falfurrias; stepchildren, Jessica Lee (Sammie) Maupin and Jason Taylor (Jamie) Maupin both of San Antonio, Texas; brother, Glen Wilkinson of Premont, Texas; six grandchildren, James Maupin, Jayden Maupin, Magnolia Hazel Maupin, Augustine Buenrostro, Adaya Maupin and Anastasia Joyce Maupin and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 2, 2022 at the Falfurrias Burial Park.
