Pablo Barrera, Jr. entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at a hospital in Alice, Texas at the age of 71. He was born on July 12, 1951 to Pablo Barrera and Beatrice Barrera Barrera in Agua Dulce, Texas. Pablo worked as a Bus Driver for 29 years and transported students in Brooks and Jim Wells counties.
Pablo was always the life of the party and loved to be around family and friends at social gatherings. He had a personality like no other, always joking and making people laugh. He had a passion for cooking and barbequing and was always praised for his Pan De Campo, a family favorite. In his spare time, Pablo also enjoyed hunting and being outdoors.
He is preceded in death by parents; brother, Armando Barrera; sisters, Melba Arias and Belinda Guzman.
Pablo is survived by his wife of over 47 years, Lupita Benavidez Barrera and daughter, Leticia (Matthew) Bushong both of Falfurrias; numerous nieces, and nephews including Jessica Lopez, Jolynn Guzman and Joe Guzman; his grand-dog, Chiquita and many cousins, extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Falfurrias.
