Oscar L. Salinas

Oscar L. Salinas entered into eternal rest on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at a hospital in Corpus Christi, Texas at the age of 71. He was born on July 16, 1946 to Oscar Salinas and Manuela Ramirez Salinas in Hebbronville. Oscar was a proud Army Veteran. He worked as a clerk for the United States Post Office until his retirement.

Oscar is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Velma Elsa Salinas.

He leaves behind to honor his wonderful memories his wife, Noemi G. Salinas of Hebbronville; sons, Oscar J. (Doris) Salinas of Chapel Hill, NC, John Eric (Melissa) Salinas of Hebbronville and John David (Karla) Salinas of Edinburg, Texas; daughter, Melinda P. Salinas of Corpus Christi, Texas; brothers, Jorge (Maria) Salinas of Laredo, Texas and Johnny (Jessica) Salinas of Hebbronville; sisters, Alma S. (+Arturo) Garza of Hebbronville and Olga S. (Fernando) Paz of Burleson, Texas; eight grandchildren, Brianna Salinas, Madison Salinas, Jenna Salinas, Jordan Salinas, Bryan Salinas, Brandon Salinas, Evan Salinas and Jackson Salinas.

Pallbearers will be Marcos Salinas, Michael Salinas, Fernando Paz, Severiano Guevera , Oscar Villanueva, Bobby Garza, Raul Garcia, Jr. and Max Segovia.

Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. with a Holy Rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at Funeraria Del Angel Howard-Williams in Hebbronville. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 1, 2018 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Hebbronville. Interment will follow at the New Hebbronville Cemetery.
