Oscar Galindo, resident of Premont, Texas, passed away peacefully on September 2, 2018, at the age of 91 years. Our beloved husband, father, and “Papo” was surrounded by loving family and devoted prayer as he quietly transitioned into Eternal Life.
Oscar was a lifelong rancher and dairy farmer. His dedicated life in agriculture and the dairy business led him to many years of milking cows, delivering calves, baling hay, and raising Beefmaster cattle for over 65 years. Oscar was an active member of the community and was an integral part of establishing The Greater South Texas Bank. As a Founding Director Emeritus, he remained an active member at monthly board meetings. He was whole-heartedly committed to making a difference.
Family was always this man’s guiding focus. He instilled in his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren the values of respect, an untiring work ethic, honesty in all things, and always – family first. As a family, we will strive to continue his exceptional legacy.
Oscar was born on July 23, 1927 to Juan N. Galindo and Remigia Barrera Galindo. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister (Bertha Galindo); and son, (Oscar Galindo, Jr.).
