Norma C. Ramirez gained her glorious angelic crown on Thursday, April 12, 2018 as she entered into her eternal life in Heaven. She was surrounded by her loving family at a hospital in Corpus Christi as she took her last breath. Norma began her earthly life on October 12, 1959 when she was born to Ramiro Cantu and Alicia Anzualda Cantu in Falfurrias, Texas. She was raised in Falfurrias and grew up with five sisters.
After marrying the love of her life, Raul M. Ramirez, they had two children and became the proud business owners of Cosby’s Furniture and Gifts located in Falfurrias. She also worked for the Department of Human Services and retired as a Supervisor. She also enjoyed a singing career and was the Choir Director for St. Ann's Catholic Church of Encino. As described by her children, Norma was a mother who has given so much and asked for so little in return. She was always there for them, teaching and listening to them, helping and forgiving them, loving them and always, always paving the way for them to strive for success. In the simplest term, she was simply magnificent.
Left behind to wait for their reuniting in Heaven and cherish the wonderful memories are her husband, Raul M. Ramirez of Encino/Falfurrias; daughter, Crystal (Rocky) Ramirez-Garcia of Falfurrias; son, Juan Macario “JM” Ramirez of Falfurrias; grandson, Duke Garcia of Falfurrias; granddaughter, Ashlyn Garcia of Falfurrias; parents, Ramiro and Alicia Cantu of Falfurrias; sisters, Nora (Roy) Velasquez of Calallen, Texas, Noemi (Tony) Gonzalez of Banquete, Texas, Naida Cantu of Fort Worth, Texas, Nelda (Joe) Casas of Brownsville, Texas and Noela Flores of Hebbronville, Texas and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
