Noe Alvar Flores entered into eternal rest on Saturday, January 4, 2019 at his residence in Realitos, Texas at the age of 86. He was born on March 12, 1933 to Pedro Flores and Isabel Morales Flores in Ramirez, Texas. Noe grew up on the ranch and was an all-around rancher and watermelon farmer. After graduating from high school, Noe enlisted in the United States Army during the Korean War. After being honorably discharged from the military, he began working for Trinity Gas, where he worked his way up to Superintendent and dedicated 47 years of his life until his retirement. Noe also served on the school board for Ramirez ISD for a few years and was a loving husband, father and grandfather. His grandchildren were his pride and joy.
Noe is preceded in death by his parents.
He leaves behind his cherished memories made with his wife of over 64 years, Elda Peña Flores of Realitos; two sons, Juan O. (Norma) Flores of Hebbronville, Texas and Pete (Agnes) Flores II of Calallen, Texas; two brothers, Adalberto (Yolanda) Flores of Falfurrias and Ramiro (Mary Alice) Flores of Brownsville, Texas; sister, Maria Isabel Renolds of Harlingen, Texas; five grandchildren, John Michael Flores, Bridget F. (Kevin) John, Sidney (Natalie) Flores, Stephen Michael (Jordan) Flores and David (Kristen) Taylor; six great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Pallbearers will be Joe Salinas, Eloy Perez, David Taylor, Sidney Flores, Kevin John and Michael Flores. Honorary Pallbearers will be John Flores, Abelino Arredondo, Stephen Flores and Carlos Garcia.
Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Falfurrias with Visitation beginning at 5:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Falfurrias. Military Honors Burial will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery in Corpus Christi, Texas.
