Mauricio Rene Fernandez entered into eternal rest on Monday, July 18, 2016 at his residence in Falfurrias, Texas at the age of 66. He was born on March 19, 1950 to Marcos Fernandez and Lauriana Garza Fernandez in Falfurrias. Mauricio worked in the maintenance department for many years with Brooks County ISD and later for Brooks County. He is preceded in death by his parents and his two great aunts and caregivers, Ignacia Tijerina and Francisca Quintanilla. He is survived by numerous cousins.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, July 22, 2016 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Falfurrias. Burial will follow at the Falfurrias Burial Park.
