Maria G. Salazar spread her wings into Heaven on Monday, August 17, 2020 in Corpus Christi, Texas at the age of 80. She was born on June 26, 1940 to Federico and Maria Garza in Agua Nueva, Texas.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Jesus Elic Salazar; parents and siblings, Concepcion Cantu, Alberto “Beto”Garza, Beatriz Garza and Arnoldo Garza.

Maria leaves behind to cherished her precious memories “Pride and Joy” two sons and daughter, Jorge Luis (Aurora) Salazar, Elic Joe (Iris) Salazar and Ruby Anna (Amando, Jr.) Chapa; grandsons, Rene Elic (Jessie) Salazar, Amando Ariel Chapa and Jesus Andres Chapa (Leilani); four great-grandchildren, "her princessa" Mia Natalia Salazar, Gael Elic Salazar, Abel Chapa and Lino Chapa; brother, Mario (Rosario) Garza and sister, Noelia (Oscar) Herrera.

Holy Rosary will be recited at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, August 20, 2020 at Funeraria Del Angel Howard - Williams in Hebbronville. Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the New Hebbronville Cemetery.
