Maria G. Ramirez of Palomas Ranch, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at a nursing home in Falfurrias, Texas at the age of 94. She was born on September 25, 1923 to Vivian Garcia and Juana Benavides Garcia on the Palomas Ranch in Brooks County, Texas. She was extremely proud to be raised on the ranch and she enjoyed every aspect of country life. Maria loved to sing and dance but her main passion was loving her grandchildren. Every chance she got to show them how much they meant to her, she took. She was a faithful believer in the Lord and an avid volunteer, even winning an award from the Falfurrias Nursing Home recognizing her for her volunteering.
Maria was reunited in Heaven with her parents; her husband, Baldemar Ramirez, Sr.; her two children, Baltazar Ramirez and Virginia Garcia; brothers, David Garcia, Isidoro Garcia and Eugenio Garcia and sisters, Emma Gutierrez and Eloisa Garza.
She is survived by her four sons, Juan (Rosalinda) Ramirez of Adkins, Texas, Baldemar (Elsa) Ramirez, Jr. of Falfurrias, Luis (Lita) Ramirez, Sr. of Premont, Texas and Gilbert (Ida) Garcia of San Antonio, Texas; daughters, Viola Garcia and Belia (Ovidio) Gutierrez both of Falfurrias; sister, Oralia Worle of Tacoma, Washington; 16 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Baldemar Ramirez, III, Baltazar Ramirez, Luis Ramirez, Jr., Cody Martinez, Ernesto Gutierrez, IV and Alex Flores, III. Honorary Pallbearer will be Cinco Ismael Alegria.
Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 15, 2018 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Falfurrias with visitation to begin at 6:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 16, 2018 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Falfurrias. Burial will follow at the Falfurrias Burial Park.
