Maria G. Martinez

Maria Guadalupe Martinez entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at a nursing home in Kingsville, Texas at the age of 87. Maria was born on October 12, 1929 to Eusebio Hinojosa and Inocensia Garza Hinojosa on the Martinez ranch in Tamaulipas, Mexico. She was a resident of Concepcion, Texas in Duval County where she was a housewife and mother. Maria was welcomed into the gates of Heaven by the Lord; her parents; husband, Luis Martinez; son, Eusebio Martinez and brother, Cornelio Hinojosa. She leaves behind to carry on her legacy her four children, Homero (Olga) Martinez of Premont, Texas, Omar (Diana) Martinez of Corpus Christi, Texas, Orlando (Sylvia) Martinez of Alice, Texas and Sylvia (Hector) Navarro of Kingsville, Texas; sister, Silvina (Amado) Garza of Donna, Texas; daughter-in-law, Irma Martinez of Premont; sister-in-law, Dora Hinojosa of Donna; 13 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Homer Martinez, Jr., Javier Martinez, Lawrence Martinez, Daniel Navarro, Zackary Martinez, Kristofor Martinez and Luis G. Martinez.

The family would like to offer their complete appreciation to the entire staff at Kleberg County Nursing and Rehabilitation for the care given and kindness shown to Maria and the family during her stay.

Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 10, 2016 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Falfurrias with visitation beginning at 5:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 11, 2016 at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church in Premont. Burial will follow at the Premont Cemetery.
