Maria Longoria passed away on Monday, November 14, 2022 at the nursing home in Falfurrias, Texas at the age of 69. She was born on November 9, 1953 to Manuel Garcia and Leonor Garza Garcia in Alice, Texas. Mary worked as a CNA for over 10 years for the Falfurrias and Premont nursing homes as well as many years with the hospital in Falfurrias. She loved spending time with her grandkids and family. Singing and dancing were hobbies of hers and she loved to play bingo. She was an excellent caretaker to many family members and raised two of her grandchildren as her own children.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband, Raynaldo Longoria, Sr. of Falfurrias; sons, Alberto Garcia of Corpus Christi, Texas and Raynaldo (Jessica Soliz) Longoria, Jr. of Falfurrias; daughter, Laura Longoria of Falfurrias; sister, Martina (Santos) Garza of Corpus Christi; 11 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; her pet cat, Tiger and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Pallbearers will be Pedro Perez, Daniel Garza, Jacob Salinas, Andrew Villarreal, Humberto Guerra, Jr. and Santos Garza. Honorary Pallbearers are Julian Garcia and Aiden Longoria.
Rosary will be prayed at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, November 21, 2022 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Falfurrias with Visitation beginning at 5:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Falfurrias and Burial will follow at the Sacred Heart Cemetery.
