Please bare with me as I saw a few words about how great my grandmother is.
She did great things in things in her life. She is the 2nd oldest out of 9 brothers and sisters. When she was very young, she had to stop going to school because her father became ill and her mother needed a lot help around the house. She was chosen to handle such a big responsibility at such a young age. That had a lot to do with why she was so caring and why she always put others needs before her own. I always admired her for being so loving, brave, and so strong. When she was in her early twenties she went to college, finished, and became a beautician. My grandma loved what she did and she did it for over 30 years. She did great things in her life.
Years later she became a mother, to my dad. She did everything for him. She once told my dad that the hardest thing she had to do when he was an infant was to leave him and go to work. But everyday when she came home, she would bring him a toy to show him that no matter where she was, she was always thinking of him. She was a single mother but she raised him to be the best man he could be. Then she became a grandmother. And luckily, she became my grandmother. And believe me when I say this, I was spoiled rotten. I had everything. I had so many toys and so many dresses and shoes. She would always dress me so pretty and we would always have so much fun together. When I got older and was involved in sports, she never ever missed a game. She was always my biggest fan. She would support me no matter what and always remembered to make me feel like I was the world to her. She loved me so much.
Our family is so blessed and honored to have had such a beautiful woman apart of our lives. She gave us so much love, memories, and support that we will cherish in our hearts forever. And I can’t wait to see her beautiful smile again, one day. I am going to finish off this speech with a quote I read,
God saw you getting tired
A cure was not to be.
So He put his arms around you
And whispered, “Come with ME.”
With tearful eyes we watched you
And saw you fade away.
Although we loved you dearly
We could not make you stay.
A golden heart stopped beating
Your tender hands at rest,
God took you home to prove to us
He only takes the best.
