Maria Guadalupe "Nana" Pineda

Maria “Nana” Guadalupe Pineda entered into eternal rest on Monday morning, July 10, 2017 at the Falfurrias Nursing Home at the age of 66. She was born on September 19, 1950 to Francisco De Leon and Lucia Perez De Leon in Falfurrias. Maria was a loving housewife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter and aunt.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leonel M. Pineda, Sr. and her brother, Adalberto De Leon.

Maria is survived by her son, Leonel Pineda, Jr. of Falfurrias; daughters, Florana (Scott Strunk) Pineda of Falfurrias and Norma (Robert Saenz) Salinas of Premont; four brothers, Jose “Kiko”( Lydia) De Leon of California, Luis (Ruby) De Leon of Franklin, Texas, Avelino (Esmeralda) De Leon of Premont, Texas and Daniel (Angie) De Leon of Falfurrias; five sisters, Gloria (Reynaldo) Nino of Falfurrias, Linda D. (Raudel) Perez of Clute, Texas, Guillermina (Rolando, Sr.) Caro of Falfurrias, Luzdivina (Noel) Martinez and Glondina (Rudy) Pena both of Premont; sister-in-law, Paula De Leon; one granddaughter, Miranda Salinas; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Pallbearers will be Avelino De Leon, Daniel De Leon, Jr., Daniel De Leon, Sr., Max Martinez, Noel Martinez and Oscar Pineda. Honorary Pallbearers will be Michael Hoolahan, Rudy Pena, Jr. and Pete Vasquez.

Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Falfurrias with visitation beginning at 5:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 13, 2017 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Falfurrias. Burial will follow at the Falfurrias Burial Park.
