

Lesvia M. “Mona” Saenz’s work here on Earth is done. She received a call from the Lord on Thursday, April 16, 2015. He gave her an offer she couldn’t refuse; a home in Heaven with no pain, grief or suffering. Her paradise awaited her. She walked into the Gates of Heaven, hand and hand with the Lord, where she was reunited with her parents, Tomas Marroquin and Emilia Barraz Garza; her four children, Olga S. Salinas, Judith DeLeon, David Saenz and Cynthia Grace Saenz; her great-granddaughter, Madison Vidia and her three brothers, Annibal Marroquin, Juan Marroquin and Oscar Garza.
She was born on March 11, 1931 in Hebbronville, Texas. She was a wonderful woman who we were blessed to learn many valuable lessons from, during her 84 years among us. She leaves behind to cherish her memories her son, Roel Saenz, Jr. of Hebbronville; daughter, Mary Lou Saenz of Fort Worth, Texas; her four siblings, Thomas Marroquin, Jr. of San Angelo, Texas, Rosa Marroquin Vargas of Chicago, Illinois, Mary Marroquin of Lubbock, Texas and Ramon Trinidad Garza, Jr. of Fresno, California; 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and many extended relatives.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Hebbronville with visitation beginning at 9:30 a.m. Burial will follow at the New Hebbronville Cemetery.
