Leonel A. Herrera

Leonel A. Herrera, Sr., passed away on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at a hospital in Laredo, Texas at the age of 73. He was born in Hebbronville, Texas on September 14, 1949 to Carlos Herrera, Sr. and Gloria Perez Herrera.

Leonel is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Romeo Herrera.

He leaves behind many fond memories that will forever be treasured by his sons, Leonel Herrera, Jr. and Roberto Herrera; mother of his children Sandra P. Herrera all of Hebbronville; siblings, Carlos Herrera, Jr. of Houston, Cristina Lopez, Lydia Yzaguirre and Sylvia Gutierrez all of Hebbronville; grandchildren, Liana Herrera, Leonel Herrera, III, Nayeli Herrera, Roberto Herrera, Jr., Gerardo Herrera and Rolando Romeo Herrera.

Pallbearers will be Leonel Herrera, Jr., Leonel Herrera, III, Enrique Yzaguirre, III, Jose Alvar Gutierrez, Jr., Pedro Lopez, III and Ricardo Gutierrez.

Rosary will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Hebbronville with Visitation beginning at 8:30 a.m. Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Hebbronville and services will conclude with Burial at New Hebbronville Cemetery.
