Julia C. Chapa

Julia C. Chapa entered into the gates of Heaven on Tuesday, March 1, 2016 in Victoria, Texas at the age of 85. She was born on April 20, 1930 to Pablo Castaneda and Leonor Suarez in Duval County, Texas. She was a housewife. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Osberto Chapa; granddaughter, Bernadette Schelper and numerous siblings. Julia leaves behind to cherish her wonderful memories her son, Osberto Chapa, Jr. of Laredo, Texas; daughters, Mirta Chapa and Cynthia Chapa both of Victoria and Raquel (Victor) Pena of Chula Vista, California; sisters, Sylvia Gutierrez and Barbarita Lopez both of Hebbronville, Texas; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Tim Ramirez, Cody Satterfield, John Ramirez, Trey Chapa, Jacob Chapa and Victor Pena, Jr.

Holy rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, March 4, 2016 at Funeraria Del Angel Howard-Williams in Hebbronville with visitation starting at 5:00 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the New Hebbronville Cemetery.
