Juan D. Leal entered into eternal rest on Sunday, August 21, 2022 at his home surrounded by his loving wife and family at the age of 87. He was born in Hebbronville, Texas on May 15, 1935 to Genoveva and Gerardo Leal. In his early years, Juan was employed as a deputy and constable with Jim Hogg County and later became a businessman owning several business before retiring.
Juan will be remembered for his kindness and generosity. He was always ready to lend a helping hand to family, friends and even strangers. He loved spending time with his wife, family and especially enjoyed time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Juan was a man of integrity with a heart of Gold and will truly be missed by his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Kayla Cavazos; several brothers and sisters.
Juan leaves behind many fond memories that will treasured forever by his wife, Mary E. Leal of Hebbronville; daughters, Lisa (Arturo) Rocha of Ricardo, Velsaberth (Carlos) Guerra of Hebbronville and Magda (+Victor) Vera of Ricardo, Texas; sister, Minerva (Nayo) Salinas of Fort Worth, Texas; special friend, Roberto Trevino; 10 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be John Rocha, Carlos Guerra, Jr., Jacob Rocha, Victor Vera, IV, Juan Cesar Vera and Roberto Trevino. Honorary Pallbearer will be Ibeana Guerra.
A Rosary will be prayed at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Hebbronville with Visitation beginning at 8:00 a.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the Greenhill Cemetery.
