Josephine Yaeger Morris

Josephine Yaeger Morris entered the gates of Heaven on Thursday, February 2, 2017 in Round Rock, Texas. Josephine was blessed with 91 years on this earth. She was born on July 11, 1925. Josephine was the youngest of four children born to Roy and Clara Yaeger. She grew up in Hebbronville, Texas. She attended schools in Hebbronville, Austin, Dallas and San Marcos. She began her college education at Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas. She transferred to Texas A&I in Kingsville, Texas for her sophomore year. While at A&I, she met and married Robert (Bob) Morris in 1946. Josephine and Bob had three children; Robert Jr., Kathleen and David. Josephine taught school in Hebbronville and Bruni, Texas for over twenty years.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert (Bob), son, Robert Jr. and son-in-law, Mike Dowe.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen Dowe and son, David (Arabela) Morris; five grandchildren, Kristen (KC) Thompson, Joy (AJ) Deatherage, Angela Morris, Michael (Sarah) Dowe, and David (Julia) Morris,Jr. and 11 great-grandchildren.

Josephine was active in her church and community. She was an inspiration to so many people as she lived out her faith, loved others, and served as a constant source of wisdom to all who knew her.

Serving as pallbearers Chris Huff, John Huff, Bill Barfield, Roy Yaeger, Michael Dowe, and Andrew Deatherage; Honorary pallbearers David Morris Jr., Donald Pannen, K.C. Thompson, Frank Armstrong, David Bigelow and Clark Rossi.

Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. Monday February 6, 2017 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams Funeral Services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday February 7, 2017 at the First United Methodist Church. Interment will follow at the Greenhill Cemetery.
