Jose Mejia

Jose Mejia, 62, passed away Saturday May 21, 2011 at a Laredo hospital. He was born on August 28, 1948 to Juan Pablo Mejia and Ruperta Esquivel Mejia in Laredo, Texas. He was a butcher and professional musician. Mr. Mejia is preceded in death by his parents,and a sister Alicia Mejia Perez. He is survived by his ex-wife Nidia San Juanita Zepeda of Hebbronville, TX, six sons Jose Jr. (San Juana E) Mejia, Pedro Adan (Diana) Mejia, Genaro Bustamante, all of Laredo, TX, Antonio (Christina) Mejia, of Hebbronville, TX, Abran Mejia, of Laredo, TX, and Adrian Mejia of Hebbronville, TX, three daughters Melba (Ramiro) Lopez, Rachel Mejia all of Hebbronville, TX, and Eva Mejia of Dallas, TX, four brothers Rogelio Mejia of Lubbock, TX, Raul Mejia of Dallas, TX, Juan Pablo Mejia, Jr. of Espanola, NM, and Enrique Mejia of Laredo, TX, a sister Maria Uvalle of Laredo, TX, 26 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at Funeraria Del Angel Howard-Williams, in Hebbronville.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Hebbronville.

Interment will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the Catholic Cemetery in Laredo.
