Johnny A. Garcia

Johnny A. Garcia, 84, passed away Monday, June 20, 2011 at his residence in Falfurrias, Texas. He was born on June 23, 1926 to Meliton and Josefa G. Garcia in Falfurrias, Texas. Johnny proudly served our county in the United States Army as a PFC and was later employed by the Brooks County Sheriff’s Department as a Jailer for many years. He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings. He is survived by his loving wife, Elia G. Garica of Falfurrias, TX, sons Javier (Brenda) Garcia of San Antonio, TX and Johnny (Elizabeth) Garcia of Falfurrias, TX, daughters Norma (Manuel) Betancourt and Virma (Jack) Robledo all of San Antonio, TX, six grandchildren, six step-grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Prayer Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Falfurrias with Visitation beginning at 5:00 p.m.

Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 23, 2011 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams.

Interment will follow at the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Falfurrias.

Pallbearers will be David Sanchez, Robert Ray Perez, Chuy Mendez, Virgilio Rodriguez Jr., Manuel Betancourt and Romeo Garcia.
