Jacob Brandon Jowers passed away on Sunday, May 28, 2023 at his residence in Falfurrias, Texas at the age of 23. He was born on May 4, 2000 to Mary Elizabeth Jowers and Javier P. Saldana in Corpus Christi, Texas. In high school, Jacob was introduced to the idea of supporting his country and became a member of the United States Army National Guard Reserves and most recently served as a SPC Combat
Engineer. He was proud of serving his country and enjoyed training alongside fellow soldiers and friends. Being a devoted uncle and caretaker was also very important to Jacob.
He was an incredible person and an even more amazing uncle. He adored his nieces and nephews and loved spending quality time with them. He also enjoyed having morning breakfast with his grandfather, Lucio. Jacob loved having drinks with family and friends and was also an avid PC gamer. He recently began learning about coding and was interest in creating his own games.
Jacob is preceded in death by his grandmother, Juanita Jowers and aunt, Felicia Jowers.
He is survived by his mother, Mary Elizabeth (Victor) Paredes of New Ulm, Texas; brother, Thomas Giles Jowers of Falfurrias; sisters, Cataleya Paredes, Elena Paredes both of New Ulm and Jessica Paredes of Bellville, Texas, grandfather who he was very fond of, Lucio Sanchez, Sr. of Falfurrias; niece, Giselle Garcia, nephew, Thomas Jowers, Jr. and numerous additional nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and extended family members.
Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 12, 2023 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Falfurrias with Visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Burial with military honors will follow at the Falfurrias Burial Park.
