Hermelinda R. Longoria

Hermelinda R. Longoria, of Falfurrias, Texas, passed away on September 28, 2021 at a hospital in Corpus Christi, Texas at the age of 63. She was born on January 2, 1958 to Guadalupe Ramos and Adela Solis Ramos in Falfurrias. Hermelinda retired from Brooks County ISD after dedicating over 20 years as the Food Service Assistant Manager. She was always selfless, humble, kind and hardworking.

Hermelinda was a wonderful mother and grandmother who always put her children and grandchildren first. She was their biggest supporter and was always present at their extra-curricular activities. Hermelinda was extremely proud of all of their accomplishments and was especially proud of the line of work her son chose to pursue.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Juan Jose Longoria; brothers, Israel Ramos and Reymundo Ramos; sister, Simona Ramos.

She is survived by her son, Jim Wells County Deputy - Robert ( Leandra Gonzalez) Longoria of Premont, Texas; daughters, Nikki (Lorenzo) Reyes of Falfurrias and Rubi (Tito) Hernandez of Bishop, Texas; brothers, Juan Ramos and Pedro (Belen) Ramos both of Falfurrias; sisters, Rosalinda Ramos, Rosario Ramos and Dora Martinez all of Falfurrias; 11 grandchildren with a granddaughter on the way; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members and previous coworkers.

Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Falfurrias with Visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. The family will proceed to the Sacred Heart Cemetery immediately following the Memorial Service for burial.
