Heriberto Martinez

Heriberto Martinez, 84 entered into eternal rest on Friday, October 13, 2023, in Hebbronville, Texas. He was born on September 1, 1939, in Duval County, to Belisario Martinez and Anita Salazar Martinez. In life, Heriberto was a Texaco Gauger for 26 years. When he retired, he created his own company, Martinez Oil & Gas. Heriberto, also served his community and the State of Texas as Jim Hogg County Justice of the Peace #3 for 20 years. He loved work, serving as Judge, and helping others, but loved his wife, Alma, and Family most of all. He will forever be remembered as a wonderful Husband, Father and Friend.

He is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Hector Belisario Martinez Jr., Norberto Martinez, Humberto Martinez, Roberto Martinez and Lilia M. Vira.

Heriberto leaves behind many fond memories that will forever be treasured by his loving wife, Alma R. Martinez of Hebbronville; sons, Heriberto (Maria E. Gutierrez) Martinez II of Zapata, Eden Alan (Sharon) Martinez of Hebbronville; Evan Omar (Belinda Gonzalez) Martinez of Hebbronville and Eunice (Jose Leonel) Martinez-Rios of Kingsville; brother, Heberto (Evelyn) Martinez of Hillsboro and sister, Lucia M. (+Horacio) Salazar of Hebbronville; 12 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and many extended family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Odell Martinez, Carlos Gutierrez, Eric Martinez, Daniel Martinez, Evan Martinez II and Rolando Martinez.

Honorary pallbearer will be Eden Martinez Jr.

Rosary will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, October 20, 2023 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Hebbronville with Visitation beginning at 8:30 a.m. Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Hebbronville and services will conclude at the New Hebbronville Cemetery.
