Francisca Eva Ruiz Martinez, of Premont, Texas, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, April 9, 2025, at a hospital in Corpus Christi, Texas, at the age of 88. She was born January 30, 1937, and was adopted as a child by Fructoso Ruiz and Maria Medellin Ruiz in Premont. She was known as "Kika" to her family and friends, and they loved her deeply.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Guadalupe Ruiz; and sister, Elena Orejel.
Kika leaves behind to cherish her memories her sons, Juan Manuel Martinez, Raymond Martinez III, and Jose Luis “Louie” (Belinda) Martinez all of Premont, and Tony (Brenda) Martinez of Corpus Christi; daughters, Sylvia (Adam) Cortinas of Port Aransas, Texas, Esther Adrian of Premont, Margie Cantu of Alice, Texas, Cynthia (Michael) McClellen of Portland, Debbie De La Garza of Premont, Norma Garcia of Beeville, Texas and Lita Martinez of Premont; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and extended family members.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 18th with a Rosary being prayed at 11:00 a.m. at the
Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams.
