

Filomeno Perez passed away on December 2, 2011 at the age of 96 at Laredo Medical Center. He was born on August 11, 1915 to Secundino and Josefa Salinas Perez. He was a vaquero at Alonzo Taylor’s Ranch for many years, then he worked 20 more years for Jim Hogg County as a heavy equipment operator until his retirement.
He is preceded in death by his parents and wife of 55 years at her time of death Locadia “Calla” Villa Perez, also his son Maximiliano “Max” Perez, his brothers, Jose, Alejos, Catalino, Mauro, Gilberto, Ramon, Tomas, Cresencio, and Julio. He is survived by his sons Pablo (Minnie) Perez of Hebbronville, TX, Alonzo (Carmela) Perez of Rio Grande City, his daughters Maria Hilda (Reynaldo) Benavides and Yolanda Dominguez (Rafael Mejia) all of Hebbronville, TX, 6 grandchildren Rene Benavides, Jerry Benavides, Renato Perez, Jason Dominguez, Kim Dominguez and Maria Yvonne Perez, 13 great grandchildren Pamela, Eric, Joshua, Amber, Cody, Emanuel, Vanessa, Nailim, Jacob, Caitlin, Maddy, Emma, and Dallas, 1 great great granddaughter Dylan, several nieces and nephews.
Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Sunday, December 4, 2011 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard-Williams in Hebbronville, TX.
Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 5, 2011 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Hebbronville, TX, with burial following at the New Hebbronville Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Rene Benavides, Renato Perez, Jason Dominguez, Eric Montalvo, Joshua Perez, and Emanuel Perez.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Jacob Benavides and Cody Benavides.
