Evelyn Margaret Boerjan Solomon

Evelyn Margaret Boerjan Solomon peacefully left this world to join her maker on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 in Falfurrias, Texas at the age of 87. Evelyn was born August 10, 1933 to Charles Louis Boerjan, Sr. and Teekela Anna Minten Boerjan in Falfurrias. She was a lifelong resident of Falfurrias. Evelyn was an outstanding and caring woman. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many. She married the love of her life, Alvin Ray "Shorty" Solomon, Sr. in 1952 and together they raised three children. For many years, Evelyn helped her husband with the upkeep of their ranch. She absolutely adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is preceeded in death by her parents, Charles and Teekela Boerjan; husband of 57 years, "Shorty" Solomon, Sr.; son, A.R. “Bubba” Solomon, Jr.; grandson, Ty Solomon; brothers, Pete Boerjan, Johnny Boerjan, and Buddy Boerjan and sisters, Lottie Siemonsma, Mary Bone, and Emma Geheart.

Evelyn leaves behind her daughter, Margaret Solomon (Mark) Story of Abbeville, Louisiana; son, Mike (Brooke) Solomon of Falfurrias; daughter-in-law, Patti Ann Solomon of Falfurrias; six grandchildren, Dusty Solomon, Meagan (PeeWee) Segovia, Mark Story, II, Alan (Jenny) Story, Mika Solomon (Brooks)Heitz and Mackenzie Bryce; six great-grandchildren, Victoria Jones, Talan Story, Brenden Solomon, Abby Solomon, Mazey Segovia and Tilden Ray Heitz.

Pallbearers will be Dusty Solomon, Pee Wee Segovia, Mark Story, II, Tommy Tiffee, Brooks Heitz and Trey Wright. Honorary Pallbearers are Tim Boerjan, Phillip Boerjan, Daniel Bone, Richard Siemonsma, David Siemonsma, Jesse Howell, Glen Wilkinson and Richie Solomon.

Due to the current ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, attendance for funeral services will be limited to 100 attendees and facial coverings are required.

Visitation will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Falfurrias. A Funeral Mass will follow at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church in Falfurrias. Services will conclude with Burial at the Falfurrias Burial Park.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice in the memory of Evelyn Margaret Boerjan Solomon.
