Ernesto Guerra, Jr., 77, passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2012, at a nursing home in Falfurrias, Texas. He was born on January 13, 1935 to Ernesto Guerra, Sr. and Aurora Ramos Guerra in Hebbronville, Texas. Ernesto was a man of many trades but mostly he worked as a truck driver and in the construction industry until his retirement. He will always be remembered for the jokester he was for the love he poured out for his entire family especially his grandchildren who were his pride and joy. His parents precede Ernesto in death. He is survived by his loving wife, Martina Gloria Garcia Guerra of Falfurrias, Texas; three sons, Ernesto (Maria) Guerra, III of Falfurrias, Carlos Zaul (Jeannie) Guerra of Kingsville, Texas and Luis J. (Amanda) Guerra of Falfurrias; two brothers, Casimiro (Rumalda) Guerra of Kingsville and Gilberto (Elma) Guerra of Hebbronville; four sisters, Elmina Herrera, Ester Salinas, Imelda (Manuel) Diaz and Francisca (Charles) Lazusky all of Hebbronville; seven grandchildren, Veronica, Ashlee, Marcus, Dalanee, Kaylor, Morgan and Ryleigh; one great-grandchild Madyson and numerous nieces and nephews who all sincerely loved him.
Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, March 15, 2012 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard-Williams in Falfurrias, Texas.
Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 16, 2012 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Falfurrias.
Burial will take place at a later date at the New Hebbronville Cemetery.
