Diliana “Dil” Ramos Salazar, 30, was born on May 11, 1992 to Jaime Ramos and Gisele Barraz Ramos in Laredo, Texas. She gained her wings on December 11, 2022 at Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, Texas with her husband and family devotedly by her side. Dil, as most people knew her, was a lifelong resident of Hebbronville, Texas. Before graduating with honors from Hebbronville High School, Dil was crowned as their Class of 2010 Homecoming Queen.
Dil married her childhood sweetheart and first love, Christopher Salazar, and together they built a beautiful life and 17 years of treasurable memories. Dil was blessed with motherhood and was an extraordinary parent who loved her children beyond measure. Many will remember Dil by their time growing up alongside her throughout school, the many years she worked at Bryan’s Stop and Shop, as the Hebbronville Elementary School’s ACE Coordinator and her latest project as an entrepreneur. She proudly and enthusiastically was the owner and sole operator of her small business, Lazy Day T’S, LLC., where she created, designed, pressed and printed t-shirts.
Dill was a cherished member of the Jim Hogg County community, always willing to lend a helping hand, a smile or a kind word. She was an avid reader who loved anything and everything Marvel and Harry Potter. She was a loving wife, daughter, and sister who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends whether it was on holidays, vacations, barbeques, and even coaching her daughter’s little league team alongside her husband. Dil walked through her short but meaningful life strong, courageous, loving and with unwavering positivity. She had a beautiful, contagious smile that would emit joy and warmth.
She is preceded in death by her father, Jaime Ramos; maternal grandparents, Ramon and Olinda Barraz and paternal grandfather, Juan Ramos.
