Corina S. Gomez

Corina S. Gomez, 82, peacefully entered into eternal rest on Sunday, October 19, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 30, 1931 to Miguel Salazar and Genoveva Flores Salazar in Randado, Texas. She was a homemaker and her family will remember her as a caring and patient mother and grandmother. She was always ready to give her time and love wholeheartedly and she will be deeply missed. Corina was welcomed into the gates of Heaven by her parents; her husband, Jaime Gomez, Sr. and her siblings, Leonor Rios, Tomas, Rafael, Miguel, Octavio, Horacio and Humberto Salazar. She leaves behind to cherish her memories her two sons, Jaime (Nina) Gomez, Jr. of Laredo and Mario Gomez of Hebbronville, Texas; two daughters, Marina (Roberto) Alvarez of Zapata, Texas and Marissa Narvaez of Corpus Christi, Texas; one brother, Lauro Salazar and one sister, Alicia Arredondo both of Hebbronville; 12 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Appreciation is expressed from the family to Caretakers, Mari and Nati Hernandez and the entire staff from Nurses on Wheels of Hebbronville and Laredo for the devoted and loving ways they cared for Corina.

Pallbearers will be David Miguel Gomez, Luis Alberto Gomez, Roberto (Trey) Alvarez, III, Daniel Mario Gomez, Jeremy Narvaez, Orlando Narvaez, Devin Narvaez and Nathan Gomez.

A Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 23, 2014, at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Hebbronville with visitation to beginning at 4:00 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 24, 2014 at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Hebbronville.

Burial will follow at the New Hebbronville Cemetery.
