Concepcion N. “Concha” Munoz entered in the gates of Heaven on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at her residence in Falfurrias, Texas. Her parents, Juan Nava and Juana Longoria Nava, welcomed her into the world on December 31, 1916 in Falfurrias, Texas. Concha was blessed with 100 years of life where she got to create many special memories with the people she loved. She worked as a housekeeper for the Sacred Heart Catholic Church Rectory in Falfurrias for over 25 years until her retirement and was a lifelong member of the Sacred Heart Guadalupanas. Concha was also a member of the Woodmen of the World organization as well as La Buena Amistad group. She was devoted to her Catholic religion and church and was a Dallas Cowboys fanatic.
As Concha entered into paradise, she was welcomed by her parents; her husband, Jorge Munoz, Sr.; five children, Cecilia Munoz, Ignacio Munoz, Jorge Munoz, Jr., Albert Munoz and Rosa Munoz and three grandchildren, Terri Lynn Munoz, Estevan Munoz and Lori Munoz.
She leaves behind to reminisce upon her memories her four daughters, Josephine (Mickey) Springhart of Cordova, Tennessee, Linda Ortega of San Antonio, Texas, Martha Gutierrez and Julia Munoz both of Falfurrias; son, Juan (Mary Beth) Munoz of Falfurrias; brother, Joe Nava of California; two sisters, Alicia Huerta of Corpus Christi, Texas and Socorro Vellios of San Antonio; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Geraldo Javier Longoria, Michael Joseph Longoria, Edwardo Xavier Munoz, Veronika Munoz, Belen Lanae Garcia and Marissa Ann Garcia. Honorary Pallbearer will be Leo Vasquez, III.
Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, April 21, 2017 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Falfurrias with visitation beginning at 5:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Falfurrias with burial to follow at the Sacred Heart Cemetery.
