Celia Herlinda Baker

Celia Herlinda Baker entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at a hospital in Harlingen, Texas at the age of 62. She was born on January 1, 1961 to Jose Orona and Trinidad Ramirez Orona in Robstown, Texas. Celia worked for over five years as a Janitor with Brooks County ISD. She was a dedicated and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and her grandchildren meant the world to her.

She is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Irma Munguia and Dora Garza and brother, Jose Orona, Jr.

Celia is survived by her two sons, Eric (Stephanie Quintanilla) Galvan of Falfurrias, Texas and Tim (Racine Garcia) Galvan of Corpus Christi, Texas; brothers, Ruben Orona and Victor Orona both of Robstown; sisters, Sylvia Aldaco and Gloria Orona both of Robstown and Esmeralda Orona and Jesusa Carmona both of Corpus Christi; granddaughter whom she helped raise, Serena Galvan of Falfurrias and six additional grandchildren, Jayden Galvan, Julianna Galvan, Priscilla Galvan, Nakoah Galvan, Eric Galvan and Darren Galvan; two great-grandchildren, Juliette Galvan and Davonte Torres and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Pallbearers will be Tim Galvan, Eric Galvan, Ruben Orona, Victor Orona, Ryan Munguia and Nakoah Galvan.

Rosary will be prayed at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Falfurrias with Visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Funeral Mass will follow at 1:00 p.m. on at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Falfurrias.
