Benito Garza went to be with our Lord and Savior on Saturday, August 22, 2020 at Christus Spohn Hospital in Alice, Texas at the age of 80. Benito was born on April 4, 1940 to Antonio and Anita Garza in Edinburg, Texas. Benito was employed as an Instrument Fitter at Corpus Christi Refineries for 35 years. He served in the National Guard, serving our Country proudly.
He will be remembered as a loving Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather and will be missed dearly.
As Benito entered the gates of Heaven, he will be reunited with his parents, Antonio and Anita Garza and his brother, Eulalio Garza and numerous members of the immediate family.
He leaves behind his wife, Otila Garza of 58 years; three daughters, Nydia (Humberto) Sanchez of Corpus Christi, Texas, Maritza (Eloy “J.R.”) Garza of Houston, Texas and Melissa (Chris) Johnston of Missouri; five granddaughters, Liza (Vishal-Fiance’) Garza of Dallas, Texas, Brianna (Kenneth) Bobb of Galveston, Texas, Krista Garza of Houston, Bailey (Christian-Fiance’) Johnston of Arkansas and Jennifer Sanchez of Corpus Christi; one great-grandson, Kasen Bobb of Galveston; brothers, Victor Garza, Juan Garza and Antonio Garza; sisters, Nena Cavazos, Enedelia Gutierrez, Enedina Garcia, Bonnie Flores; brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws and numerous nieces and nephews.
