Beatrice G. Martinez

Beatrice G. Martinez age 98 passed away March 27, 2012 at a Corpus Christi hospital. She was born on September 20, 1913 in San Antonio, TX, to Joe S. Garcia and Josefina Garcia. She was a schoolteacher for the JHCISD for 25 years.

Beatrice is preceded in death by her parents, husband Dr. Homero T. Martinez, brothers Rafael Garcia and Joe S. Garcia Jr. She is survived by her sons Homero T. (Irma) Martinez Jr. of Corpus Christi, Edmundo Martinez of Zapata and Jose A. Martinez of San Antonio, daughter Diana (Blas) Benavides of Hebbronville, 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. Friday, March 30, 2012 at Funeraria Del Angel Howard-Williams in Hebbronville.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, March 31, 2012 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.

Burial will follow at the New Hebbronville Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Donnie Beeson, Homer Martinez III, Tom Martinez, Edmundo Martinez Jr., Arnoldo Martinez III, Mario Martinez Jr., Bert Martinez and Matt Muenchow.

Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Barfield, William Barfield, Charles Hellen III, Alfonso Montalvo, Dr. Jose Gutierrez, Mario Martinez, Humberto Martinez, Arnoldo Martinez Jr., Beto Nava, Jaime De Los Santos and Victor Cerda.
