Angelica H. Ortiz

Angelica H. Ortiz peacefully passed away surrounded by her loving family, on Wednesday morning, November 15, 2017 at her residence in Falfurrias, Texas at the age of 77. She was born on January 22, 1940 to Federico O. Hernandez and Irene Leal Hernandez in Sarita, Texas. She was an outstanding mother and grandmother who loved her kids unconditionally. As she entered into Heaven she was embraced by the loving arms of the Lord; her parents; her husband, Benito Ortiz and her son, Jose Eduardo Vargas. She leaves behind to cherish her memories her three sons, Adolio (Sylvia) Vargas, Jr., Jesus (Sandra) Vargas and Michael Vargas all of Falfurrias; brother, Ramiro (Hilda) Hernandez of Corpus Christi, Texas; sister, Sylvia Hernandez of Mission, Texas; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Gratitude is expressed to her special friend and nurse, Terry Huerta and her cousin, Evanelia Narvaez for their devoted and unconditional care for Angie's needs. It did not go unnoticed and we are forever grateful. Prayer Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 19, 2017 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Falfurrias with visitation beginning at 6:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 20, 2017 at the First United Methodist Church in Falfurrias. Burial will follow at the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Falfurrias.
