Amanda “Mandy” Perez entered into eternal rest on Thursday, July 25, 2019 at a nursing home in Kingsville, Texas at the age of 79. She was born on June 26, 1940 to Gil Perez and Petra Ramirez Perez in Encino, Texas. Before her retirement, Amanda worked for the Falfurrias Nursing Home as a CNA for many years. She loved spending time with her family as well as gardening and raking.
Amanda is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gustavo Perez; son, Rolando Perez and her siblings, Alejos, Arnulfo, Avelino, Anita and Alicia Perez.
She is survived by her three sons, Roel (Suk) Perez of Killeen, Texas, Ricardo Perez of Lubbock, Texas and Gustavo (Raquel) Reyes of Premont, Texas; two daughters, Norma (Juan) Vela of Houston, Texas and Noemi Schubert of Falfurrias; her companion, Antonio Rodriguez of Falfurrias; two brothers, Andres and Alberto Perez both of Falfurrias; four sisters, Angelica Benavidez of Hasco, Texas, Amelia Perez of Falfurrias, San Juanita (Hector) Perez of Odem, Texas and Josie (Johnny) Cabrera of Premont; 19 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren and numerous extended family members and friends.
A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Falfurrias with Visitation beginning at 6:00 p.m. Funeral will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, August 1, 2019 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Falfurrias. Burial will follow at the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Falfurrias.
